I have a horrible habit of putting off reading the last book in a series I've loved because then that would mean there are no more books to look forward to. Completely irrational, since I know the author has another exciting series coming. All the books have been full of adventure, action, and angst, and this one is no different. Pete and Jess have provided some of the relationship drama in the previous books, and it was satisfying for them to finally grow, communicate, and have a resolution. Pete and Jess have provided some of the relationship drama in the previous books, and it was satisfying for them to finally grow, communicate, and have a resolution. They had quite the build-up! There is also a romance between Esme/Shea and a young man she met in the previous book, which gave us a nice break from the Pete and Jess drama. The murder case involving Esme's friend also comes to an end with the unexpected villain made known and it brought the elements of suspense and danger to the plot. It was nice to have everything wrapped up, and I'm ready for some fresh love stories from the author! (I received a complimentary copy of the book; all opinions in this review are my own)

Totally & utterly outrageous. This series (of which this is the 6th & final book) is sometimes quite frankly everything but reality. Every one of each major character goes through multiple near death, high intensity, level of stress out of this world experiences. The outrageous is what turns the pages. The crazy unbelievable is what keeps us coming back for more. Book after book after book. Susan May Warren is a master at writing not only the suspense, and the you couldn't have guessed it if you tried twists - but the soul wrenching emotions you feel as you loose yourself in the middle of this SAR team. I have been hooked on this series from the beginning. I am reminded why I reserve the 5 star rating for reviews as my gold standard. When you read something that literally takes your breath away, your regular 'that was a pretty awesome book' rating is no longer good enough. 'Wait for Me' earns this hands down. I was lost in the Bob. I was churning over Pete's heartbreak. I was wishing Felipe would disappear back to France. I was wondering when the Sheriff was going to show up. I was inwardly begging Jess to finally do the right thing. Amongst it all, I was reminded of why God is the One that can teach us about true love. Charity. The anti-dote to fear. That goodness exists in this world and is expressed by many people, everyday. I will miss this gang. What crazy adventure does this author have ready for us next?!!! Thanks to Revell for the eARC. This is my honest review.

Full disclosure: This was my first foray into the Montana Rescue series, and to be blunt, I was not adequately prepared for the thrill ride that awaited me. Now I know what you’re thinking: “Taylor, the synopsis mentions: broken hearts, terrible fights, characters taken captive AND murderous intent how could you NOT be prepared?” And, honestly, all I can say to that is that I severely underestimated this book’s ability to make me care about these characters and their drama-filled plot lines. I pick up so many books across myriad genres that have action-packed summaries, but fail to deliver engaging stories within their pages. It’s almost like the more I see on the back of a book the more likely I’m to be let down by the lack of new details inside. Which is why I couldn’t be more thrilled to report that Warren’s story totally disproved this theory. Not only did this suspenseful contemporary have me hooked from the very first page, but, more importantly, it also introduced me to characters that I felt connected to on a very real level. Now don’t get me wrong, coming into the final book of a six-deep series, isn’t necessarily ideal. While Warren gives consistent backstory details about these established characters, I did find myself struggling – initially -- to remember who was dating whom and how there stories interconnected. However, once I got the hang of things, I found myself simultaneously wanting to stop this current read in order to go back and devour the previous companion novels while also wanting to speed read through Wait For Me to see if these duos reached their “happily ever after eternity.” And while the action from the search and rescue teams is definitely an excellent page-turning technique, what truly elevated this addictive installment were the glimpses into the characters struggles to find themselves. From Ned’s fear of being honest about his professional goals, and Shae’s struggle to take control of her past and stop being a victim to Jess choosing between a life she wants and a life dictated for her, these internal moments made the story feel raw, honest, and relatable. While I can’t imagine fleeing a bear, escaping captors, or smokejumping, I can imagine fighting doubt, fear, expectations, and a perpetual state of “what if.” I think this is where Warren and the underlying Christian message in her novel really shines. She points out time and again that even under extreme situations if we can live our truth, lead with our hearts, trust in God, and remember we’re not alone we can tackle any obstacle. I enjoyed my time in Mercy Falls, Montana and can’t wait to visit again soon via the previous novels in this series. If you’re looking for an uplifting read, with restrained romances to cheer for, I’d recommend giving Wait For Me a shot.

Wait for Me is the sixth and, sadly, last book in the Montana Rescue series. "He wasn't looking for trouble, but if Pete didn't act right now, at least one person was going to die." And so it begins -- the much anticipated/dreaded conclusion to Susan May Warren's Montana Rescue series. I'm in an addlepated stupor of bookish proportions but will try to rally long enough to write this review. So Jess....gah! And Pete...whimper. And Jess and Pete...I can't even...I mean, honestly -- I adore Pete. I'm madly in love with Pete. I kept telling Pete, "Forget about Jess. I'm right here. Ready to make all your dreams come true!" But did he pay me any attention? Pffft. Sigh. I guess I can cut him some slack with all the bullet-flying-car-crashing-cliff-dangling etc. distractions Warren placed in his way. Clearly he had more on his mind than one simpering, swoony reader fangirling all over him but it still cuts. And that Jess --- I. Have. No. Words. Well, expect, maybe to say that if any heroine in all the fictional heroines in the world ever deserved a good purse whomping -- it's Jess Tagg. And I would have followed through except that Warren did her own diabolical version of purse whomping in multiple harrowing ways so I felt sorry for Jess and gave her a pass. :-) The whole Montana Rescue crew makes multiple appearances in this sixth and final installment which was scrumptious but leaves me with one burning question: What is it with all these long engagements you guys?! As always, Warren deftly weaves an inspirational thread through the chaos and mayhem which actually makes it all the more poignant. "Yeah. I'm talking about God's love, Pete. You gotta start trusting in God's love for you. For Jess. Lean into it. Let it change you. Let it set you free." A breath-snatching, tail-spinning, mind-blowing conclusion to one of my favourite series! I'm still feeling a bit shell-shocked but I'd go through every nerve wracking moment all over again. In fact, I likely will because this set goes on my keeper shelf to be enjoyed again at some future date.

Susan May Warren is one of those author that I am always following- watching and waiting for a new book to snag up. She has such a way of writing characters and situations that keep me invested and interested from beginning to end. I love the added elements of suspense and adventure that fill up my mind and keep me on the edge of my seat. Every book, every series by this author is so good! I have been looking forward to the resolution I knew this book would finally bring for the characters I've been attaching myself to in every book. That felt really good. The dread comes from knowing this series is officially over and now I have to leave these friends behind. BUT. I know there will be something equally great coming because this author and I can't wait to see what it is! I would highly recommend reading this series in order. You will be utterly lost if you don't. Each book revolves around multiple people who's stories build throughout each book progressively. Content: peril, some violence, kissing, Christian Fiction - I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions expressed are my own.

Wait for Me is the sixth and the final book in the Montana Rescue series. I think I liked this one best of all in the series. It has more suspense in it then the other books. This book got my attention from the get go and didn't let go until the end. This book focuses on on Pete and Jess who also goes by the name Selene and on Ned and Shae who formerly went by the name Esme Shaw. Jess thinks it could be someone from her past who wants revenge because of what her father did. Shae was a witness to her boyfriend's murder some five years earlier and she thinks this person has discovered her identity and is after her. I was kept in suspense until the end trying to guess who the bad guy was in all of this and it was not who I suspected. Just when you think it is over and everyone is safe and happy there are some twists. I highly recommend this book. I received this ARC book compliments of LibraryThing's Early Review program and the publisher Revell. This book will be published on November 6, 2018.

I guarantee that once you start with Wild Montana Skies you’ll be hooked on reading all the books in the series. Each book has a unique way of captivating the reader that makes it easy to keep reading. Once I started the series, I continued and though I hate to see the ending of the series and characters I know it is time. I cannot wait for others who haven’t yet read the series to do so, or for others to read the last book in the series as the mysteries in the novels conclude with dramatic fashion! In Wait for Me, the story mainly is about the relationship between Jess and Pete that has been on and off again throughout the other books in the series. The books are wonderful in describing how heroic smoke jumpers, EMT’s, police, etc. really are and how they are people who have similar desires and dreams. Jess and Pete’s story has a mystery element along with Shae and Ned that comes to a climactic conclusion before they all fade into the sunset. I have no idea how Susan is going to follow up after her amazing Montana series, but I thank the author for writing with a strong element of faith throughout the series. I loved these books and plan to read them again in the future and see what I probably missed when I read them the first time! Her temporary life, away from the spoils of a scandalized New York socialite, had been blessedly peaceful. But, it's Pete. It has always been Pete. It will always be Pete, in spite of the rumors circling through the tabloids. But did she confuse him one too many times, and will she ever have the chance to make things right? At the moment, she is fighting for her life and praying to the Lord above that Pete will come to her rescue. Again. What a magnificent finish to a series that many will read over and over and over again.

'I might be less apt to blame myself if I actually believed that God was on my side, that I wasn't a screw-up that had it coming.' Susan May Warren finally gives her loyal readers Pete Brooks and Jess Taggert's story. And what a story it is! We have suffered with, trusted for and longed for this couple for several books now. Warren delivered magnificently with their own book, too. Warren delivered magnificently with their own book, too. Pete Brooks has always felt like a screw-up, always jumping in, putting his life on the line, never stopping to think what might be the consequences of his actions. But he loves Jess Taggert. Loves her in a way he didn't even imagine could be possible. But Jess has hurt him so much. She has promised to be there for him several times and yet several times has left. Pete doesn't think he can handle anymore, doesn't believe any reason Jess gives him will be enough to soothe his pain. But he can't get this woman out of his heart. She has a permanent place there, no matter what she does. Jess Taggert has always just wanted to not cause pain to anyone. She doesn't want to be the cause of anymore problems. Ever. She can't bear to hurt anyone else again. Even if she destroys her own heart in the process. She just can't grasp the fact that she can't please everyone all the time. Even if she tries and gives it her all, somebody is going to get hurt. But she loves Pete. She loves him so much. This couple has had a place in my heart for several books now. When I first met them, I wanted them to have a happy ending. But oh, the pain they endure. Susan May Warren always manages to pack so much emotion in her books, it's absolutely incredible. We FEEL the pain these folks are going through, are right there in the danger they face, and believe me, there is plenty of danger here, for someone is stalking them in the desolate, wintry woods. And she also manages to include such a powerful spiritual thread in the midst of all this emotion. God is our rescuer, not someone else. We just have to trust Him and lean into Him and allow His sweet peace and healing to flood our hearts. This is the message here. We may think we know the best way, but God truly does know the best way. We see more of Shae Johnson here and Ned Marshall and we also meet a few folks that I feel, at least, I hope, Warren will give us more of in a future book or books. Because I think they have a story to tell. I never, ever miss a Susan May Warren book and they all sit proudly on my shelves. Definitely worth a re-read, all of them. Highly recommended. *My thanks to the publisher and author for a preview copy of this book. The opinions stated here are entirely my own.

What a roller-coaster ride! The emotions, the tension, the action—it was up, down, around, and loop-the-loop all the way through this story. And Pete and Jess—ahhh! Heart in a tangle! Given the author is Susan May Warren, I should have known better than to doubt. This was absolutely riveting from the first page to the last. It had the harrowing man vs nature suspense that I have loved so much about this series, with the added thrill of knowing that someone was out there after them. And remember those loop-the-loops I mentioned? Yeah, there were a few times I really did get thrown for a loop and had everything I thought I knew turned on its head. As with all the other books in this series, there are two couples featured in this story, but as much as I loved seeing the resolution to Esme/Shae’s story, I can’t deny that Pete and Jess took centre stage for me. They’ve been through so much throughout the series, and I wasn’t sure how much more angst I could handle. There were miscommunications and refusals to communicate, wounded pride leading to stubbornness, and let’s not forget an ex-or-maybe-not fiancé! In almost any other case, that would be too much drama for me to handle, but the way it plays out here alongside the search and rescue was dynamite, especially with both Pete and Felipe (the aforementioned fiancé) part of the search—both honourable and determined, but emotional powder-kegs just waiting for a spark to set them off. And concern for Jess is a pretty big spark! Underpinning it all is a message about reckless, undeserved love: “True love—unconditional love—declares you worthy just because it chooses you. And there’s nothing you can do about it.” It’s “the kind of love that forgave and showed up and chased and forgave again and kept showing up, loving her when she didn’t have the courage to love back.” It’s an intense read, but oh-so-good on so many different levels. I received a copy of this novel from the publisher. This has not influenced the content of my review, which is my honest and unbiased opinion.

Jess and Pete fell in love while working together for PEAK Rescue in Montana. But when Jess's old life came back to haunt her she decided it was time to go home and try to fix what she felt she destroyed...her family and the broken heart of her fiancé Felipe. When Jess left, Pete felt the air leave his lungs and life permanently. He followed her NYC and tried to convince her to return to Montana and asked her to marry him. She said yes but not yet. She needed to try and help her family heal. While there he met Felipe'. Soon after he read in the paper that they were engaged. But Pete was not willing to give up on their love yet. He decided to follow Jess and Felipe' to Paris for the new year. When he arrived he tracked them down and was able to persuade Jess to spend some time with him and again he proposed. Again Jess said not yet. Once again Pete went back to Montana alone. But hopeful that she would come back to him. Time went by...no Jess. But there is always hope. When I began the story I thought I would be drawn to them equally but I realized by the end of the story that although both had gone through much growth in all ways my heart fell for Pete. He loved her so completely that he knew he had to reach that point of letting go and letting God take care of her in the hopes that God would give him the desire of his heart.

This was kind of a bittersweet ending to a wonderful series. I'm sad to say goodbye to these characters. I was happy to get closure on many things from this series. Both in love and also in some of the suspense. But to be honest, this wasn't my favorite in the series. The action wasn't as heart stopping for me this time. But I did love the love story. What a wonderful feeling to finish this series, have the answers, and see all of the happily-ever-afters that have built throughout each and every book. The individual novels have some continuing situations that are not all fully resolved until Wait for Me. I enjoyed this story so much! I loved the adventure of it, yet for me, the best part was the intense back and forth of Jess and Pete’s story. I liked the way that the author allowed the reader to peek back into the past year and see glimpses of what went right and what went wrong for Jess and Pete. These two went through so much, both physically and emotionally in this story, and both of them had a lot of growing to do! And they did! Jess and Pete both learned so much and grew in their walks with God, as well as in their understanding of the love that they had for each other. In all of the Montana Rescue novels, there have been two love stories going on in each book. Wait for Me was no exception, and I so enjoyed the romance and devotion that developed between Shae and Ned. Their love story was a wonderful addition to the plot. I highly recommend Wait for Me, along with the entire Montana Rescue series. I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions are my own. I usually love Susan May Warren’s writing, but this book didn’t really hit the same mark for me. Wait for Me is the final Montana Rescue installment, and it’s the tale of Pete Brooks and Jess Tagg at long last. Much of the story focuses on Jess’s personal history, a twisty romance, and the current drama of a sudden group abduction followed by a desperate search-and-rescue effort in the wilds of Montana. Like Ian and Sierra’s romance, Pete and Jess’s story has been drawn out through several books, I usually love Susan May Warren’s writing, but this book didn’t really hit the same mark for me. Like Ian and Sierra’s romance, Pete and Jess’s story has been drawn out through several books, with scenes here and there advancing and regressing their romance. And like Ian and Sierra’s romance, by the time Pete and Jess’s story finally unfolds fully in Wait for Me, I was just ready for them to stop the one-step-forward-two-steps-back dance they’ve been doing the whole series. To be honest, I would’ve been more interested in Jess and Pete if their romance had played out solely as a secondary storyline in the other Montana Rescue books, how Warren handled Ian’s niece Shae’s story. I didn’t see a need for them to have their own installment. Wait for Me is a solid romantic adventure, but its protagonists have already gotten sufficient page time, and it gets a little bogged down in secondary plot lines. Felipe seems unnecessary, and the bad guy needs to be a little more fleshed out. Don’t get me wrong: if you love Susan May Warren’s books, you’ll enjoy Wait for Me. The search-and-rescue backbone of this series is fascinating. Plus, romance, intrigue, adventure, a final chance to catch up with all the Montana Rescue characters you’ve come to love. It just isn’t my personal favorite of the series.

I enjoyed revisiting all the characters in this series and finally learning the rest of Jess and Pete's story. With lots of danger, romance, and life lessons this book kept me hooked.

WAIT FOR ME is the sixth and final book in Ms Warren's Montana Rescue series, and fans will want to read the previous books as Pete is in most of them and Jess a few. I've been waiting on pins and needles for this book, and am so excited to get my hands on it. The book starts with a bang, slows down with Jess's point of view, then gets exciting again when she ditches Felipe and goes to Montana for a wedding reception. Then things get exciting, scary, and can't put the book down action. Ned is certainly not a target but since he is with the two women who are--or might be--he is. A vehicle rollover. Lost in the wilderness. Multiple life or death injuries. Cold temperatures. No safe shelter. And no clue for the PEAK team to even begin looking for them. This is a page-turner, and I'm sad to see this team go. However I am now excitedly waiting for the beginning of Ms Warren's new series starting next year. You will want to read this series in order, as I said. An awesome series by one of my favorite authors. The Faith message was awesome. For the more conservative readers, there is some smoking, some drinking, and some mentions of one-night-stands and pre-marital sex. I was given a copy free. All opinions are my own.

Unputdownable, heart-pounding, action-packed romantic suspense novel revolving around not just one, but two fantastic love stories. On top of it all, it’s a Christian romance as well with the characters who were in mortal danger trusting God’s will at the same time that they try their hardest to rescue themselves. Although I am coming into this series late (this is the first book I read and it’s the series ender), I didn’t feel lost in spite of the numerous named characters. Wait For Me had me turning page after page to find out how Pete and Jess will finally end up together and how the new romance between Shae and Ned develops, especially with Shae on the verge of death and with a killer still after her. It’s all very exciting and Ms. Warren’s writing is impeccable. She really takes the reader right in the middle of the book as if we’re witnessing the action as it happens. I love that all the characters are capable, be they men or women. I love that Felipe is an upstanding guy, that he makes it hard for Jess to choose between him and Pete. Like I already said above, although they have faith in God, they don’t just wait to be rescued. Lastly, I love the family and community coming together to help each other out. Fantastic book. I highly recommend it.

Have you ever found yourself lost, struggling, physically or mentally? So many characters in this story have these feelings. They don’t know what the day will hold or if they can handle it. They also don’t feel worthy of love from others, and constantly feel the need to measure up to a level of excellence which many don’t even achieve. The what-ifs are always speaking loud in their heads, and they have a strong desire to please others, even at the cost of sacrifice to their lives. This book like so many other books of Susan May Warren is packed full of action and suspense. It doesn’t stop! It was like a roller-coaster, you think, “Oh I can breathe now,” but then BAM there’s more! There are so many twists and turns it just keeps up until the very end. Pete and Jess are the main characters, yet in this story, we find some many more. I loved how we are introduced to some new characters and got to see what’s happening with the old friends. I enjoyed this because they have all become like family to me. I’ve read this whole series and it always amazes me how we can see Susan May Warren’s heart in her writing. She has the heart to share God’s love with all who read her books, and this story continues with to show her desire. In her author notes she shares the true feeling behind this story and at the end, she says, “God is our rescuer. He won’t give up on us until he’s found us and brought us home.” This is actually how Pete feels regarding all he does in life, but mostly these are his feelings for Jess. Whatever Ms. Warren writes I'll read because I know I'll be captivated and blessed in a way that is life-changing. I was given this book by the publisher for an honest review, all opinions are my own.

This is the last book in the Montana Rescue Series. This book is centered around Jess and Pete. They are also in other books in the series but as in the other books, the story revolves around 2 main characters, Jess and Pete. The characters are fairly well developed and interesting. I have not read all the books in the series but I have read a few of them. They are interesting and full of drama. What I did not like so much about this book is that there seemed to be a lot of things repeated not just from other books but things in this book itself seemed to be repeated. I skipped several paragraphs at a time and do not feel like I missed out on anything. The book I received was not final copy so it's hard to comment on the editing, but I can tell you I that this version still needs some work, though not much at all. Pete Brooks can't believe he's waited an entire year for Jess Tagg to return to Montana, only to have her break his heart by getting engaged to her ex-fiancé. When a terrible fight between them sparks an impulsive decision, she finds herself crashed on the side of a highway along with Esme Shaw. And just when she thinks things couldn't get any worse, she and Esme are taken captive and into the untamed Montana wilderness--with murderous intent. Now Pete and the other PEAK Rescue Team members are in a race against time, the elements, and the actions of a vengeful man. Pete will have to use everything he's learned to find Jess and Esme--and pray that his past mistakes don't cost him the life of the woman he can't stop loving. What a great ending to the Montana Rescue series. Pete and Jess finally find their happy ending. Of course we knew they would. But the journey was great. This book started with a bang with Pete in a rescue that about cost him his life. From there the story just keeps getting better. At first I wasn't sure about Jess. She came off as kind of whinny. A lot was explained along the way that helped me understand her situation. Pete was just trying to get over his love for Jess when he hears she's engaged to her former fiancee. There's a lot of action to get Jess and Pete together to show them God's love. A great book and I highly recommend it. I can't wait for the next series. I wouldn't mind reading books about Ned's family. I received this book as a complimentary copy from the author for an honest review. I was not compensated in any way.

What a fantastic ending to a great series. Wait for Me has such a good plot, great characters, that I found myself cheering on or crying for. I really hate to see this series end and I hope some of these characters appear in future books. Fans of suspense do not want to miss this one. My thanks to the author for my early copy of Wait for Me. Opinions stated are my own.

Hold on to your armchair, it's a bumpy ride! Susan May Warren designs a spectacular ending to the Montana Rescue series. Not only is the saga of Jess and Pete wrapped, but we learn more about Ned and Shae and previous characters. With one danger after another, the series concludes with a shocking and satisfying end. More importantly, our favorite characters find peace and begin healing. I received a complimentary copy of the book without obligation. This review is my opinion.

This is my first book by Susan May Warren. Once again, I have dropped myself into a series without reading from book 1. Since this is book 6, I have missed A LOT! However, it is almost a new challenge for me to jump into a random series. And it shows Warren's writing skills that I was not completely lost throughout the entire book.  Wait For Me is Pete and Jess's story, but there is so much more going on. With 5 books ahead of this one, we have over a dozen characters popping up like the moles in that whac-a-mole game. Within a few chapters, I had a pretty good handle on who everyone was and just enough of their story from the previous books to make me curious but without taking away from Wait For Me. That's a difficult feat, and Warren handles it perfectly.  Visiting Montana has always been a dream of mine, and with this book, I felt like I was there. Warren detailed the landscape and characters with clarity but kept it from being overwhelming so you could focus on the plot of the story. Speaking of story, this one had me going from the very first page. You know right away that you're going to be dealing with some pretty broken up characters. Pete is a churning vortex of agony, and he reacts accordingly. And I'll admit, I wanted to shake some sense into Jess. It drove me crazy that she kept trying to make everyone happy. It's impossible to please everyone. There were a lot of promises made, and most of them broken for one reason or another. A lot like in real life. Pete and Jess struggle through the twists and turns, hurting one another, blaming one another, and ultimately not being able to stop loving one another. There was so much reality in the characters' actions, not just Pete and Jess, but some of the others too. It was almost painful to read through their struggles. Without God, they were floundering, never realizing that all they had to do was ask for help. We never have to carry our burdens alone. And that is the message I took away from Wait For Me. God loves us, and He will help us if we will only ask. While this is Christian Fiction, the message is not 'in your face' as some would call it. The notes and references to God are short and scattered thin. In fact, that would be my one change. If anything, I would have liked for God to be mentioned more. The way it was done worked for the story, however, so I can't complain much.  When it was all said and done, I closed the book with a nod of approval. It's a keeper. I received a copy of this book from NetGalley. I was not required to leave a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

True love—unconditional love—declares you worthy just because it chooses you. (pg 150) We finally get the conclusion of the Montana Rescue series with Jess & Pete's story! As bittersweet as that is, I feel it was the perfect ending to such an amazing series!! This one had plenty of action and heart-in-your-throat moments, tempered with a romance that's been brewing for a long time. Both Pete and Jess struggle to overcome circumstances that have kept them apart for more than a year, things well beyond their control and plenty of misunderstandings to keep their feelings at bay. That is until Jess, Esme, and Ned are run off the road, fight to survive, and are held hostage in a remote cabin in the Montana wilderness where they are forced to meet their problems head-on...IF they survive! I've longed for a happily-ever-after for all the characters Warren has introduced to us to from the beginning. I just didn't know what I was in for and what a ride it has been! Not only are there great characters, but more importantly there are deep spiritual truths that God has whispered in my own heart. It's like finding precious gems the author has hidden for the reader to discover. For example these lines stood out to me: That's what love does right? Shows up and sticks around, even for the hard stuff. Keeps it's promises. (pg 322) She too knew real love. The kind of love that forgave and showed up and chased and forgave again and kept showing up, loving her when she didn't have the courage to love back. Love pursued. Love forgave. Love believed. Love sacrificed. (pg 287) That's not only true love between a man and a woman, but the love God has for us. He'll pursue us, love us and has already sacrificed Himself to show us how far He will go to win our hearts! I loved seeing how each person in these books has grown in their own walk with God through the hard stuff & the easy stuff too. It changed them and it changed me too! *I received a complimentary copy from Revell on the authors behalf and was under no obligation to leave a positive review. All opinions are my own. *

Wait for Me, written by Susan May Warren, is a great end to an awesome series! I've been waiting for Pete's story so was thrilled to be able to read it finally! I thought this writing style was a bit different than previous ones in the series because it had a lot of reminiscing. A lot of filling us in on things that happened between stories to keep us up to date on where their (Pete and Jess) heads were...or happenings between. How can there not be with Jess and Pete involved? ;) Their relationship has certainly seen their fair share of bumps along the road, and there is more that works to tear them apart. But they grow through it. I admit that I was just a little disappointed in the faith aspect of this one. It wasn’t central scene and seemed more like something that was worked in at the end. I don’t think that was the authors intention, but while it held meaning, the message at the end just didn’t hold as much of a punch as I was expecting. And there was a scene at the end that I wasn’t very comfortable with – it just felt off to me, and so what I think was meant to be touching, felt unsettling in my opinion. I appreciated the theme of God loving us because of Him and not due to ourselves, but I would’ve loved for it to have been reflected with a bit more clarity throughout the entirety of the book instead of just the end portion. Also, I’d say this was at least PG-13 when it comes to all the kissing and passion portrayed. More like adult-content without being fully sexual. I enjoyed th plotline, and it was definitely suspenseful and we waited to see how it would all unfold. Seeing more of Ned and Shae (aka Esme) was very nice too; I liked their sidestory a lot! “Wait for Me” was a compelling read that I enjoyed the majority of, but there were just some things that I wasn’t quite a fan of and would recommend it for ages 17+, not really younger.

An EPIC conclusion to one of the best romantic adventure series I've ever read! With the highest stakes and the much-anticipated climax of the series (both with the action/suspense plot and the romance), I read this as fast as possible because I had no clue what would happen next! The surprises were great. The romance perfectly developed and SWOONY. (I mean, Pete is such a tough guy but he wears his heart on his sleeve. And Jess had to find herself and grow a little more.)
